Interactivity

1.Interactivity is a form of communication between people. It is the communication process from one message of another person to the next and the response and its relitivity to what was said in the message preceeding it and if any other message preceeded that and if any before that and so on. Interactivity can be between anyone from teacher to student and vice versa to peer to peer communication, all having to be in a collaborative learning environment. It is the engagement of someone tryign to interact with any different content or information. For example the internet is an interactive community becuase it requires a user to go through some sort of hypertext to obtain additional information and so on from there.

2. Essential componets that interactivity requires can be very basic things. For interactivity to exist there must be two persons or things trying to interact or communicate with eachother in a continuel basis. From there, there must be some sort of information or message that can be past for person to person, also on a continuel basis, staying on the same plane of thought from the last content in the previous message. In a basic definition of interactivity this is all that would be required for interactivity to be taking place.

week 1

1.To me multimedia is the new age techniques of writing. Multimedia consists of many areas and arts that were not always available, i believe it was a very much an emergance of the 90's although areas of multimedia writing did exist with radio and television. It is a progression or step forward in writing, advertising, and the many uses of audio visual variants. Learning how to develope skills in multimedia writing with further your skills as a writer in general such as persuasion, dramatavasion, word choice, imagery, and many other content and effects of writing. If your not a writer persay, the skills learned for multimedia is just another tool to be used in a job setting especially in a technical and comsumer driven society that most people live in today. To me writing deals with only what you think and how you feel becuase it is your writing, its your creation, its your words, and it should be your heart. I have a saying that i use for life, "Your life is poetry, Let it have meaning", i believe this saying applies for life and your writing in general, it is part of your life. Multimedia skills and writing can help such feelings and work be put in a more visual and understandable way. Skills for multimedia writing is a great resource to obtain for oneself.

2.How to become a more effective writer is a hard question to answer. In a literal technical sense i think learning proper structure, punctuation, and grammer is one of the most important if not the most important aspect of becoming a more effective writer. But i believe things of that sort in writing apply to writing in a proper, and for lack of a better word "structured" setting. Even in an unstructured setting becoming a more effective writer is terribly hard in my opinion. Alot of writers, especially unexpierenced writers, believe there work is better then the next, that there story, there idea, or there opinion is unique, effective, and superior. But the fact for the matter is, it probably isnt, everything you have said or thought someone has probably said or thought before you. It is a writers job to let there imagination,i believe, to out envison those before using there creative side. A effective writer needs to allow someone to understand what there are saying without dumbing down there idea's. They also need to tap into other imaginations by way of there own, they have to be able to let others see what they see or let them visualize what they want but stay on the same train of thought the purpose of your writing was for. Lastly i think being a more effective writer is up to what the writer actually thinks about there writing, it is your work, and although to others it may not be effective, i dont think people can dictate what you wanted to write if you feel its what you wanted to say.
